10 Parrot Head Street – Downtown Charleston,SC
Architect: ECM 111
Interior: Design Luann McCants

The skeleton of a home that once stood at 10 Parrot Head in downtown Charleston, was renovated by Archer Construction to its idyllic state above. Together, Archer and the brave new home owner crafted a plan to transform the rotting framework into a home. Both Archer and the homeowner agreed that the rotting wood would not detract from the location and the community dock.

Archer was challenged with a newly designed floor plan that proved far superior to the original outlay. The kitchen was moved from the rear to the middle of the home to optimize the view of the Ashley River. The entire home was insulated with spray foam for optimal energy savings. This home has a total of five full baths and five larger bedrooms, totaling 4,500 square foot. All of the floors are a beautiful caribbean heart of pine.
